MY OPINION AROUND WEIGHT GAIN… TRUE OR FALSE?

⁣Am I a trained psychologist? No…⁣

But having working with 100’s of men and women on weight loss,⁣

I see a theme…⁣

𝐍𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭⁣

We don’t say, ‘𝘩𝘦𝘺, 𝘐’𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝟸𝟶𝘬𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦’⁣

It just kinda happens, ⁣

Slowly and gradually and then gets out of control⁣

𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝⁣

So, when our mind is in a tough place, ⁣

That ‘place’ is represented on the body physically⁣

Anyone that’s ever said ‘𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥’ 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵? ⁣

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬⁣

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 – we have so much on our plate and health just falls off as we struggle day to day⁣

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚 – something in our past causes us shame or guilt and binge eating or drinking is a way to express that guilt⁣

If that is true for most of us, ⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝗪𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭-𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝⁣

Like eating healthier or working out⁣

If we don’t go to the root of the weight gain, ⁣

Looking at our life priorities or addressing the trauma, ⁣

𝗪𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞⁣

It’s a way to prove to ourselves we don’t deserve to be healthy⁣

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝟏𝟓 𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟑 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 ⁣

It’s the next step after you’ve made some changes to your nutrition and training in Better Body Academy⁣

I can’t wait to share some of the wins from this program soon⁣

𝐁𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 - 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭? ⁣

PS. This photo has nothing to do with the post, other than to say Oshyn and I got matching sunnies
